It’s Thanksgiving in the States today, so I thought this is an appropriate time to share pictures from my Canadian Thanksgiving moments in October.
We had family over for Thanksgiving. Our first family get together in our new house. It was so much fun being able to host both sides of our families. E&V were amazing and cooked us the delicious turkey!!! D’s Mom also did a lot of cooking and brought over 4 delicious dishes.
We pulled out our Polaroid camera and had some fun taking pictures.
We also tried our popcorn machine we got as a wedding present from E&V. It was so much fun to watch the popcorn pop and spill out of the pot.
There is so much to be thankful for. Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to reflect and appreciate all God has given me and has brought me through. I like to remind myself that I need to be thankful everyday and not just on one specific day of the year. I am so thankful for a handsome and God-fearing husband, a wonderful and loving family, awesome friends, good health, a warm place to live, a flexible job, a running car … there are so many things to be thankful for. I have to also learn to be thankful during difficult circumstances as God is in control and is watching over me. He has brought me through every single time for which I am thankful for.
” Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Happy Thanksgiving!!
