It is always so exciting to be up early with the rest of the country to watch hockey. I admit, I am not as hardcore of a fan, but I still woke up at 6am to catch the start of the second period. I chose to stay in the comforts of my own home in my pjs to cheer on Canada’s Men’s Hockey Team. It was well worth it as we have just won the gold medal!! Now it’s time to go back to bed before church. hehe. Well done Canada!!

Winter Olympics 2014

#wearewinter is the slogan Canada is using for the 2014 Winter Olympics. They have a bunch of #wearewinter film series to support the Canadian Athletes. I love how the country comes together and unite in cheering our athletes on.

The 2014 Winter Olympics are coming to an end tomorrow. These past few weeks have gone by so fast. I have been watching here and there when I can as it has been harder this year with the time difference. It is always great to hear the wonderful stories of how the athletes made it into the Olympics.

I am impressed and encouraged by these athletes with all their hard work and training they have put in to chase after their goal of an Olympic medal. Definitely reminds me to continue running my race of life as a Christian. I have to continue to train as this is what I have been called to do. This is a reminder for me to strive for the prize. To not just run aimlessly but to run in such a way to get the prize. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27).

Congratulations to all the athletes who competed in Sochi 2014. Thank you for your hard work and being inspirations to us all!
