In July, D and I participated in the Canada Day Road Race where we did a 5KM run. It was intense as the run does end with a hill, but we plowed through with the help of a people cheering all of us on. Thank you to our coach for training us.

Also in July, we went on a fishing/camping trip with some of our friends from church. Being outside the city, it is always such a wonderful reminder of God’s beautiful creation. It was my first time fishing, which was so much fun as I was able to catch a fish however it was too small so we set it free again. It is always fun to sit around the fire and chatting with friends.

We also got to celebrated my best friend’s A&T’s wedding. It was so much fun to be able to celebrate with them through this joyous occasion. Definitely a whole weekend of festivities. Congratulations A&T!!
In September, my Dad and I took on the project of painting my room. Growing up, I had always wanted a blue room, but years and years of talk and nothing was ever done. So this year, I had about 2 weeks off of work, but my Mom suggested we paint my room. With my Dad’s help, we made it happen. It was a big project for us as none of us are handy people. But with some research and youtube videos, we got it done. Thanks Mom and Dad!! Hard to see with the pictures as it is a light shade of blue.

The last few months, we have been busy with work, church commitments, wedding planning and looking at houses. I tried a few different restaurants in Edmonton, which will be in a later post. Spent time with our family and friends for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Definitely a blessed year. Thank you God for all that you have blessed me and my family and friends this year.
Happy New Year everyone!!
“Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
